Deinfluencing: Tamburins Was Disappointing 😥

Given the price and hype surrounding this brand, I really wanted to love these, But sadly, they are #NotForMe

☁️ Tamburins

This is a popular Korean cosmetics brand launched by “Gentle Monster” and it is well-known for its aesthetics. Tamburins is also endorsed by many K-pop idols like Jennie and Tiffany. In fact, the first time I heard about this brand was through Tiffany’s “What's in my bag” video – which safe to say, caused over 8000 bottles to be sold in a single day 👀

After eyeing these for months, I finally decided to get it. But, sad to say they did not match up to the hype 🤧

☁️ Hand Sanitiser in the scent 000

Yes, it’s a super aesthetic sanitiser – I love how sleek the packaging feels and looks. It is a great design for those who love pretty and minimalist products 😍

But, was it worth the money? Nope. Even if you find it on Shopee , the cheapest is $15, which is essentially 7 Lifebuoy hand sanitisers if you think about it. BUT, it’s really a big no for me because of the scent.

000 is their signature scent and I bought this because it was the exact same scent that Tiffany used – she even says it smells like a scented candle. Its key notes are Bergamot, Sandalwood and patchouli. Honestly, the scent is overtly woody and herbal for me and gives older, mature lady vibes 🌿👵 My bf was quick to express his disdain after I applied it on his hands.

I still love Tiffany, please don’t come at me if you’re her fan. Also, I’m gonna try out another scent, just in case there are better ones — so stay tuned for another review 👀

☁️ Lotion in the scent POSY

Right off the bat: Super pretty packaging.

The scent description says it's a mix of patchouli and deep floral notes. It’s supposed to evoke a strong floral scent but scent-wise, it has very strong herbal and woody notes, which makes me wonder if all their products have this undertone. I rarely hate on products, but I don’t like this because it makes me feel like I’m a walking piece of wood.

But it is pretty moisturizing and doesn’t leave a sticky residue. In terms of costs, this was close to $30 for me and even in their Korean outlet, it costs $30-50.

This is the smallest bottle but I think it makes a great lotion to bring in your bag (if the scent was nicer).

Overall: If you like woody scents, maybe these are for you! But defo not for me 🫣
