here’s how i’m annotating my next read, hooked, by emily mcintire 🪝

i gather up my annotating supplies first, and like to coordinate them with my book cover personally!

🕰️ coordinated sticky tabs

i’m a big fan of this pack i get on amazon! it comes with so many tabbing sets (2800 pieces total!) for about $7 from the brand BHYTAKI on amazon

i take these sets and mix and match the colors to come up with a color palette that matches well with the cover of the book

🕰️ coordinated highlighter

i highlight so often in my books that i tend to go through more than one per book (LOL i know), so i will stick to similar shades of the same color

in this case, i’m starting out with a gray crayola supertips marker, and will opt for another light gray from the box if/when i run out!

crayola supertips are my all time FAVE for annotating. super precise, don’t bleed through (unless you use very dark colors), and you can get a 100 pack for $20 on amazon 🎨

🕰️ black gel pen

i’m ride or die for my 0.38mm gel pens from muji! they have suck a fine point, they DON’T SMUDGE which is key when writing in books, and they write so smooth

i will never ever buy another pen bc i don’t think anything can ever compare. 3 pack for $7 on amazon and they’re refillable! cant beat it
