got into a car accident overseas…? WHAT TO DO🤯🚦

Mercury was in Retrograde when we visited Jeju, and we got into not 1… but 2 car accidents… 🚗🤣💥

Here’s what to do if you ever (touch wood 🪵) get into one in South Korea.

1️⃣ Check the cars for damages

2️⃣ Call your car insurance agent (Whoever caused the accident) and take down each other’s details.)

3️⃣ Wait for the insurance company’s representative to come down and take pictures of the cars & damages.

4️⃣ That’s all, you can get on with your day!

I was so surprised at how quick the process was. It was time-consuming as it takes about 20 minutes for the insurance company guy to come, but it could’ve went a LOT worse. 🥲

💰 We didn’t pay a single cent for the damages! The insurance we bought covered it ALL. I was so worried about this because we had like 3/4 scratches from the accidents. But the car rental company just had us sign some papers and we could go.

TIP: Take pictures AND videos when you first receive the car. Make sure there’s a time stamp so that you can show the insurance company if they ask questions (though they were very nice to us!)

It was our first time renting a car overseas, and our first time getting into an accident, so it was really nerve-wrecking for the both of us. But really, there was nothing to worry about, thankfully. 😅
