There’s a lot of mis spread information out on social media that many people don’t realize are lies… some common ones I’ve noticed are these:
1. All fat is bad - there’s a clear difference between good fats and bad fats, good fats being nuts, avocado, salmon etc, and bad fats being saturated fats such as excessive amounts of oil, fried foods, and sweets. Your body actually needs fat in order to function, so don’t cut out all fats completely, just focus on the good ones!
2. Snacking is bad for you - it all depends on what you’re snacking on. If you’re snacking on things like chips or cookies rather than fruits and healthy foods, that’s when it can be bad for you. Everything is okay in moderation, so don’t cut out “unhealthy snacks” just make sure to limit them.
3. Skipping meals helps you lose weight - although in theory, yes this is true, this does not mean it’s good for you. Your body needs those meals in order to function properly, there’s many more ways to lose weight without having to skip meals!
