Peek the considerations we had for our kitchen! 🥹

I thought to close the loop on the kitchen renders and some considerations when I made them, before moving on to other stuff so here we go!

In the pics you’ll see the render, the aerial view of that particular part on SketchupPro (drawn to scale), and the final output during fabrication. Those photos were sent to me by my con! I remember feeling so elated to see my renders materialising 🥹

Whether you choose to do them yourself or not, I hope you’ll get the outcome you want eventually! Renders are honestly not very important in the grand scheme of things; they’re just an aid to visualise your house better. I know of some friends who were very particular about the renders and they were soooo stressed at every detail.

Just wna remind everyone to not let that consume you and focus on the measurements instead! For example:

1️⃣ Remember to halve the width of your top cabinet compared to your bottom cabinet. This is to allocate space for your head and ensure you won’t knock into your upper cabinets 😅

2️⃣ If you have a layout similar to mine, account for the fridge door opening and ensure when you open the door, it won’t hit your island or graze it!

3️⃣ I was stuck at getting the right height for our island for MONTHS. Would it be 85cm or 90cm or 1m?! For this, we visited IKEA and other showrooms with our measuring tapes and shamelessly measured every island/high table we encountered 🤪

4️⃣ [bonus tip] Every item should have a home. Think about the things in your kitchen and imagine yourself retrieving them! We made one more internal drawer for all cutlery and one more deep one for our Ninja Foodi and rice cooker ☺️
