Picolino Pizza & Pasta Review

Italian casual dining, worth visiting for Burpplers! Super great for group gatherings, because you get to have a lot of variety! Food comes relatively fast too when we were there on a Weekday Night at 7:30pm!

I’ve visited both outlets recently and tried different things so I can review for you!

🍕Pizza:

〰️ flavours are traditional but with a twist

✨ burrata pizza was a fave because of the strong pesto and garlic flavour

✨ salmon mentaiko was really nice too, with the amount of mentaiko being just right, and the flavour being not overpowering!

✨ amatriciana (aug special) was tasty from the tomato paste and mushroom

〰️ their crust is thin, so it’s not very filling

🍝Pasta:

〰️ a little over cooked for Al Dente pasta standard

✨ lamb genelli (aug special) was really tasty from the umami of the tomato-based sauce and how it was mildly spicy (just right for me)

✨ spinach tortellini and gnocchi was good, I would order them again!

〰️ salmon chunks in the linguine tasted slightly fishy to me, so it wasn’t my fave

🍛Risotto:

〰️ squid ink was alright, just slightly lacking in umami flavour. I expected it to be more salty from the squid ink.

✨ There was quite abit of lemon juice used to make the risotto more light and refreshing-tasting.

🍷🍹Drinks:

〰️ They serve wine and cocktails at ok prices, not the most value for money but at least you have that option.

Overall, would visit again for the food, especially Balestier outlet because the 1 for 1 makes it really worth it!
