It doesnt matter whether you're trying for an internship or FT role, here are some basic but important questions to ask! Some of them are common but i realised that i never really asked them during my own interviews & i could have really gotten a better overview of the company.

1. Tell me about the office culture

- get a sense of the team's working style, age, size. Some interviewers might also mention how close the teams are & how they hang tgt after work. It can be a good sign depends on how you think😂 but i would rlly prefer a closer team! Its just easier to trauma bond tgt

2. Will this role require constant work outside of working hours

- this is just a way of asking hows the work-life balance. You don't wanna be bothered at night & on weekends for small/non urgent issues. Its really tiring & you'll be worned out within a week, trust me. Do you really wanna be working or be on standby all the time?

3. How big is the SG team?

Asking about the local team is impt to help you gauge your possible workload & meeting schedules. If the company has lots of people overseas that you have to work with than it can be difficult to communicate. Its not so bad if they are in the same timezone. Imagine you need your Graphic Designer to urgently amend a post but he lives in USA😩

4. Tell me about my direct supervisor/boss/ceo

A bad leader/boss makes work very very unbearable. So its good to ask/prompt the interviewer about their working style. You can ask this question in the 2nd stage as the interviewer will usually be a someone in the team thats reporting to the same person.

You can ask things like "hows his/her working style?", "do they do constant checks regarding team progress?" , "how much autonomy will i be given?"

The last thing you want is to work under someone who treats you like a PA 🙃😩
