Its everyone's dream to own designer items. Sandals, shoes & heels are more commonly owned as they do not cost as much as other items but let me share with you some things you should know/consider before purchasing them ✨

1. Maintainance : Since you are paying so much more for the pair, you would wanna take extra measures to keep them in the best conditions. Most people do not know that designer sandals/heels usually have a flat sole. This sole is very slippery & wears out almost immediately💀

The solution would be to get a cobbler & have a set of soles fixed on them. This protects the original sole & when the new sole does get worned out, it can be easily replaced! Do check on some reputable cobblers before sending your sandals in as you would want someone who is experienced to do this.

Secondly, you would also want to keep them away from the sun to prevent discolouration. All of them comes with a dust bag so do wipe them down after every use & make sure it is dry before storing them back into the bag.

Thirdly, these sandals/heels are also prone to creasing just like any other footwear. But since they are designers, you definitely wanna prevent that from happening! Do not squat on your toes while wearing them as it will cause a crease line which can be difficult to fix or not at all. Do not stack other shoes on top of them, you want to prevent any deformations 💀

2. Sizing : Do double check on the sizing as each brand has their own unique cuts & some designs might run smaller/bigger than your usual. I'm a usual size 38 across most brands, but for my Chanel Heels, I'm wearing size 36😨

Its the best to go down to the boutique & try them, you wouldnt wanna pay $1k for a pair that doesnt fit. You can also try on a pair that your friend/relative has but the shape might be abit different as it has been adjusted to fit them.

3. Long-term use : Footwear are always trending & new designs are very common. Do consider getting a design/colour that will suit your everyday use. If you are leaning towards purchasing something that has patterns, do ensure that you are able to pair them with your current style. If you are unsure of what colour to get, go with black or white. They match with everything!👍🏻
