Buying Luxury Clothes? Read This First | #NOTFORME

I’ve spent quite a bit on branded clothes, and it’s one of my biggest regret :”) The $$$ could have definitely been better spent. Here’s my thoughts:

1. Material 👚

• Let’s talk about branded t-shirts. We all know that we are paying for the brand. Yes, perhaps it may be slightly better quality but at the end of the day, it’s mostly 100% cotton.

2. Bags 👜 > Clothes

• Relating to material, I would much rather have spent on a luxury bag, rather than a luxury shirt. At least you are paying for leather. And I’ve realised that wearing basic clothing but pairing it up with a nice luxury bag, can make your whole outfit more classy. Whereas a luxury shirt, with a non-luxury bag, doesn’t make it classy.

• E.g. Plain white crop top with blue jeans + a nice bag!

3. Impression 👀

• It’s quite sad to see that some brands example Off-White and Givenchy, which do have nice style, give off a “xmm” “yp” vibe because they often purchase these tops. **just my personal opinion, you may see differently** People who may not know me personally but see me wearing those shirts, may have a different impression of me. And that impression is not what I’m looking for :(

• Would much rather get bags or even shoes (once again)

4. Difficult To Resell 🥲

• Compared to bags and shoes, I think that clothes are more difficult to resell, especially for a price that you purchased it at. I’ve been trying to resell but people would much rather get a new one unless it’s at a super low price and I’ll be making a big loss.

However, if I do have the spending power, I would still go ahead and get those luxury clothes because not gonna lie, they can be quite stylish at times. But if you’re someone that is deciding on what to spend on, whether a shirt or a bag, I would say that luxury clothes is #notforme at the moment or maybe I would spend less on it ><
