Places to go to in Phuket 🦋

To start off I decided to stay at Karon/Kata instead of Patong (BEST DECISION) which is the most popular area that most tourists would opt for.

Why I stayed away from Patong.

I enjoy beach hopping and wanted to stay close to beaches with clear water and somewhere less crowded, so I did some research and Karon and Kata checked all of my boxes!! Plus, Karon and Kata are close to each other.

On the other hand, if you are on vacation to party, I would recommend staying in Patong because that is where the clubs, ping pong shows, and so on are.

Kata beach:

Despite the crowds, the water was surprisingly clear. There are jetski and other rental options on the beach, as well as a plenty of restaurants nearby.

Island hopping (Phi Phi Maya Khai Islands) :

I booked this on Klook, but you could also book it there; there are several vendors around , and the prices are roughly the same unless you manage to bargain.

Btw If you want to jet ski, you can do so at Khai Islands for 1200 baht, which is less expensive than e.g. Karon, which was 1800 baht!

Karon beach :

Ahhhhh Karon was so beautiful, and there were lesser people there. The sand was soft, and the water was crystal clear, as you can see in the photo!! We sunbathed from early morning until the sun set. I can't recommend this beach enough, I'm glad we stayed near Karon.

Three Monkeys Restaurant :

What a great restaurant to dress up and go on a romantic dinner with your partner without breaking the bank! I reserved the dome (there are other options as well) which is similar to the Summerhouse in Singapore but definitely different. The overall atmosphere, the way everything was set up, and the food made it truly an enjoyable experience.

Mom Tri’s Kitchen :

Mom Tri's Kitchen is slightly on the pricier side, but the view of Kata Noi really took my breath away, even though it was so so hot I didn't mind at all HAHHAHA I would say the food isn't the best, but with that view I was still contented.

Kata noi beach :

I don't think I need to say much about Kata noi... Just look at the pictures??? What's not to love? 🥹INSANE

L'Arôme by the sea :

I wanted to end off the trip with a nice dinner, and this Michelin-starred restaurant had many positive reviews, but it was disappointing:( The seating was a little awkward, and the food wasn't the best I've had, but I have to give the chef credit for his clever combination of tradition and innovation.

Amala Grand Bleu Resort :

We had a wonderful time at Amala Grand Bleu resort. It's a very calm and quiet place. It's on a hill, so it's a little difficult to get to, you have to take a tuktuk or grab. The view was stunning especially when it was sunset 🌄
