another place to eat at jb city square 😋

Recently tried Hock Kee Kopitiam 福气安康 (City Square) where they serve nanyang and malaysian cuisine, and here’s my verdict. Total damage was ~16SGD for 2pax !! Since i went on a weekday at abt 2pm, we were served immediately!

1. Hor Ka Sai (4/5)

thick blend of coffee with choco !! RLYRLY GAO but also not that sweet too? Recommend to share between 2 pax as it might be jelak after awhile. ☕️

2. Golden Pumpkin Kaya Butter Toast (2.5/5)

would skip this if im back here again, prefer my toast to be rly toasted but this came abit soft when served + the butter melts rlyrly quickly, the kaya was alright🙂

3. Pandan Kueh (2/5)

not a fan of pandan flavoured stuff so this was alright too, however it was served in this cute basket thing? 🤩

4. Mee Siam with Fried Chicken Meat (4/5)

THIS WAS RLYRLY GOOD !! asked for extra lime and had the right balance of sourness 😋 the chicken was also well seasoned and was crispy tooo !! the mee siam had like a tomyum flavour to it

5. Steamed Chicken Rice (4/5)

rice was rly fragrant and paired well with the ginger and chilli (the chilli was also not like the usual garlic chilli but was good!) chicken was tender and seasoned well too!

Overall would recommend to try if ur looking for malaysian and nanyang delicacies and since its only located 5mins frm customs, its worth a try ☺️☺️
