My USA travel map 🗺️🇺🇸!

I’ve visited 14 states in the USA! My favorites are North Carolina, Virginia, Montana and Maine 💛#statesivebeento

NC: This is my home state so NC definitely has a special place in my heart. I love Asheville (mountains), Raleigh (city), Wilmington (beach), and all the cute small towns in between. I’ve had lots of adventures in the Outer banks, the mountains, and in the suburbs of Cary/Raleigh where I grew up.

VA: Where I live rn! I work in Shenandoah National Park and it is such a beautiful place. Sunsets here are like no other and there is a ton of wildlife. Ofc Shenandoah is amazing, but so are the smaller state parks like Natural Bridge SP. Driving through VA with some good music and good people is a vibe. Also, I love the random and charming shops you’ll find on the side of the road (antiques, vintage, local markets, etc). As for hiking, I recommend doing McAfee’s Knob on the AT!

MT: Gosh I love Montana. John Denver was onto something with Wild Montana Skies. I’m hoping to work in Grand Tetons NP this coming summer because I was so in awe by this lovely park. Plus, part of Yellowstone is in MT, and Glacier (along with many other natural wonders) isn’t too far. Also there are cowboys and cowgirls 😎

ME: I love Maine in the summer but I am a weakling in the cold so you won’t catch me up North in the late fall, winter, or early spring 😅 That being said, one of my favorite cities in the USA is Portland, Maine! They have the best Gelato ever there — it even rivals Italian gelato and I was literally born in Rome so 🤷‍♀️ Also the seafood is SO GOOD. I would love to live there in the summers one day. Acadia NP is stunning ofc… and just like VA, driving through ME is an amazing experience all on its own.

Tell me your favorite states in the comments and lmk if you have travel recs! Technically I’ve been to more states than shown on this map, but I was young and don’t remember them well (a lot of the southwest) so I’m not counting them.
