🇹🇭 Bangkok hyped Basil Rice worth it ?! | Phed Mark

i went there twice this year, in July and October. my experiences were relatively pleasant. the first time i went around 1.30pm and the waiting time was about 45mins. the second time i went there around 5.30pm but our waiting time was around 25mins. not really sure if this will help you gauge what time to visit the place but this is what I experienced 🤪 most of us ordered the basil pork rice, one of my friend got the with wagyu 👀

the place is really small so we ordered takeaway and had our meals at Gateway Mall which is down the street. there’s a dining area infront of the supermarket on lvl 1 if you want to eat comfortably somewhere with aircon. if the food is too spicy, you can quickly get a drink there too 🥵

Taste wise, it’s delicious but DAMNNNNN SPICY OMG my tolerance i cmi 🥵🥵 i ordered the Very Less Spicy 🌶️🌶️ i still died 💀 i normally eat xiao la for mala so yall gauge yourself okay 😭 idk why my second time i order the same spice level and died x2 💀 my friend who usually can take spice, also find the very less spicy quite spicy i-

they can add egg so i guess that will help with the spice 💀 maybe next time i will add egg ALSO THEY USE DUCK EGG

the portion is relatively big, quite filling, together with the spice you drink water cfm damn full

while waiting for the basil rice to be ready, we went to eat pad thai and oyster omelette which is about 10mins walk away. recommend to come here and try it !!! i personally really like the pad thai hehe 🤩 there’s a famous mango sticky rice place - Mae Varee Mango Sticky Rice, along the same street. there’s also a bubble tea shop, the drinks damn cheap, about $1+ only !!! the time spent walking there to eat etc, more than enough to cover the waiting time for phed mark 👍 i suggest to share the food if you want to try both places so you wont feel too full
