The book of Night Women~ Marlon James

A recent read and a true 10/10. This novel is set in the Caribbean during the height of the slave trade. The story explores interracial love, the supernatural and personal morality. A bit of a hard read if you are not familiar with reading accents and African dialects.

The Darkest Child`~Delores Phillips

A recent recommendation that explores racial identity and colorism and maternal trauma in a coming of age story.
