One of the reasons that Nice is such a great “Homebase” is because Nice itself is relatively affordable comparing to some of the other cities nearby such as Monaco , Cannes , Antibes , Saint-Tropez , etc.

Also the location of Nice is central to many other great places to visit which are all connected by train so that you can conveniently access them in under 30 minutes, and then there’s even more options if you’re willing to travel up to an hour by train or car.

As you can see in the pictures, the day trip options from Nice are genuinely gorgeous and all unique.
