The Bests in JB - our current obsessions

Hi 🍋s! If you’re thinking of going for short getaway to JB anytime soon, this list is for you! I’ve curated a list of the best in each category of what to do in JB for your convenience😆

🏠 Best hotel

In my opinion, Atelier Hotel is the most aesthetic yet cost-saving accommodation option! I’m sure you’ve seen multiple reviews raving about this place and it’s definitely worth the hype! for us, it was clean and cosy, and only cost us 168.31SGD for 3 nights, which is essentially <30SGD per person a night (split between 2 ppl) definitely our go-to hotel option ever since then

☕️ Best cafe

Tbh it’s really difficult to choose the best ever cafe in JB as there are so many, but our current obsessions are Rowan & Parsley and from dusk till dawn.

The interior of Rowan & Parsley is rustic and inviting, and the staff were very friendly. All the items we ordered tasted great and we highly recommend the pork taco🌮

As for from dusk till dawn, not only is the coffee amazing, the food is absolutely delicious too🤤 i know my girlfriend constantly thinks about the yakitori and aburi salmon pasta😆

🍲 Best buffet (hotpot)

The restaurant we visit without fail every single time is Bao Jun Hot Pot❗️We don’t even have a picture of the place because we’re always so excited to start eating🫨The tomato soup and mala soup are INSANELY GOOD so heavenly dare i say even better than hdl…….? (personal preference 🙃) Let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried it!

🛍️ Best shopping

Personally, i’m not the biggest fan of thrifting in JB. But this is entirely my opinion based on my experience thrifting in JB thrice, and i’d love to hear your thoughts on this! I might make a separate post in the future expanding on this……

In my opinion, JPO is a much better option for shopping despite the distance from customs. They have a wide range of shops that run huge sales such as

• Sports eg Nike, New Balance, Lulululemon → I bought a pair of Nike shorts for only $12 !! 💥

• Watches eg Citizen, Seiko
