a day at Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree! 👘

i’ve always wanted to try a kimono and i finally got to do so during my trip to Japan 🤭 my friend and i booked our kimono rental at a shop called Kimono Rental REN, located in Asakusa! we reserved on their website and got a 1000¥ discount so if you’re planning to go, do try to book a plan online at https://kimono-ren.com/en/ 🫶🏻 they had a huge variety of kimonos to choose from and the staff were really sweet and friendly too! however they are not fluent in english so do keep a translator on hand if you have any questions~

we walked to sensoji and took lots of pictures around the area! the entrance with the huge lanterns are always crowded so we walked around the temple area to find photo spots that were still super pretty 😆 unfortunately, we did not do enough research about food in the area so we just headed into a random restaurant for lunch 🍱

after lunch, we walked around (again) and did some shopping at Don Quijote and taking pictures of course! we also found an arcade and took purikuras (japanese photobooth) 📸 they had different types of booths that had different frames, plus you can decorate your pictures with stickers and beautifying tools so it was really fun!! 🌟

the rental is till 5pm, so after we returned the kimonos, we walked to Tokyo Skytree🗼we did not book tickets to go up so we just did some shopping at the mall 🎀 they had many cute shops like the kirby cafe, sanrio store and studio ghibli store!! i spent so much there buying all the cute souvenirs 🙈 we then ending the day off with dinner at Kura sushi~ 🍣
