I’ve heard about lazywaist for quite a while now - esp since quite a few influencer mommies like Mongabong & Gwen vouch that it helps their postpartum belly, and finally decided to try it recently!!

For context in case you’re curious on why i need it! Despite being considered as “skinny” due to my petite size, i suffer from bloating and have gained quite a bit of weight over the past year due to my hormonal medication. My friends used to laugh when i’d say i am 4 months pregnant after a meal, it’s true though 🤣😅

I have been using lazywaist for the past month now - there are 3 different types of body shaping wear - The Fix, The Slim & The Shape and they also recently launched their bare series which is made to be for daily wear! 😌 True enough, the bare series is super comfortable.

Here are my honest thoughts about the few products that i own!

𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 ($𝟏𝟖𝟎)

🖤 what it is: a 9-soft steel bones trainer with customizable compression levels - trims the waist fat pockets and helps to tuck in tummy pouches to accentuate the natural body curves.

🖤 key features:

— 9 soft steel boned shaper

— 3 rows of hook and eye (2 - 2.5 inches) => adjustable for a customizable compression level that will allow your body’s curves to be adapted accordingly

— Spandex material for a luxurious finishing

— Lined with Nylon for comfort

🖤 what i liked about it:

— targeted at trimming the waist

— it actually WORKS. This was quite surprising to me but i did see a decrease in my waist size, less bloating — probably due to the compression!

— i personally love that the compression level is customizable - from there you will also be able to tell if the compression is truly working for you~ the Shape is also pretty sturdy yet flexible (ie i can actually “stretch it out” to wear it on) compared to other waist trainers i try.

— it’s easy to incorporate to my life: i have to say that i’m not the best at being diligent or sticking through the routine & hours needed, but wearing this is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I usually wear it after dinner & for longer during the weekends!

🖤 things to note:

— a measuring tape & 8 week schedule is provided for you to keep yourself in check & track your progress!

— it can be a bit uncomfortable to wear at first! in fact, when i first got it, i actually felt like i couldn’t squeeze in 😅 however, with a bit of patience, you will eventually learn the right way to put it on! i usually wear the first bottom hooks first then push it upwards

— you can’t wear this to sleep, technically 😅 but i have done that oops. if you prefer something something for working out & sleeping, The Slim might be a better option!

— you have to be diligent with sticking through the routine and results are best when you actually work out in combination with wearing the waist trainers

𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐥𝐢𝐦 ($𝟏𝟖𝟎)

🖤 what it is: compression shaperpants that helps achieve a slimmer, more defined lower body

🖤 key features:

— Medical-Grade 2 Compression (35mmHg) for compression at the right areas

— Short Soft Steelbones on sides => lock & close pelvic bone for hourglass shaps

— Fully-bonded Front Panel => flatten waist & trim tummy area

🖤 what i like about it:

— targeted at caring for my hips & thigh areas, with good amount of compression

— easy to incorporate in my life! i love that i can wear this to sleep & it’s comfortable, just like usual tights

— suitable for post surgery recovery, especially post-birth or post-liposuction! this is because the compression helps to reduce swelling and inflammation, esp for ladies with issues like weaken pelvic muscles (idk if this is what it’s called but basically it’s the condition that makes it difficult to control urination due to giving birth! this helps you to recover faster from that issue)

— suitable for sensitive skin

𝟑. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭 - 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫 ($𝟏𝟐𝟎)

🖤 what it is: the racer is part of the Bare series - where they use premium quality to come up with 3 bodysuit designs - tee, long & racer. I went with the racer series as i personally like the cutting of it best, it also complement The Fix really well! Comes with a panty cut & discreet snap closure at the panty cut :~)

🖤 what i liked about it:

— stylish & versatile: easy to match with different bottoms

— material is super breathable, perfect for sg’s weather, think of that soft, activewear luxurious material - this feels exactly like that.

— you can wear it for layering or by itself!

All in all, i’m pretty impressed by the quality of lazywaist’s products & also was quite shocked to see the results! Though i’d have to put a caveat that this does require you to be diligent to follow the schedule and also, diet + exercise plays an important role as well.

Amongst the 3, if you ask me, i actually like The Fix best — i love the results of it and i like how easy it is to incorporate into my life (since i can wear it to sleep!). It’s almost as if i’m just wearing tights to sleep.

I’ll also be coming back to share with you guys the before/after of using lazywaist after a month, as i didn’t take the before/after previously and anyways i’ve been slacking off! ☺️❤️ so do come back for the results!
