Just came back from Hong Kong (6 - 10 May) & thought Iโd give you some tips on what to wear & do a mini compilation of all the fits that I wore during this trip โ esp for those that are not sure about what to wear this May โค๏ธ Use this as a #ootdinspo ๐!
Some tips on what kind of fits to bring to HK:
๐ 1. Bring along a cardigan / jacket
โ it gets pretty chilly at night, or if you go to mountain tops (due to the higher altitude). Itโs also slightly rainy โ๏ธ and the malls are pretty cold so this jacket will come in handy. Of course, be sure to pack an umbrella!
๐ 2. Go for padded tops & skorts
โ The thing I hate the most about going overseas is that my bras tend to get pretty squashed. Going for padded tops means you can pack a little lighter, and esp because itโs summer time, you will get sweaty which will make the idea of rewearing of bras quite yucky. These padded tops can help you save space & make sure you feel fresh without wearing stanky bras! Additionally, if you want to wear skirts, go for skorts instead! Theyโll be more comfortable as you wonโt be afraid of zao geng.
๐ 3. Long pants, dresses are a must for party days
โ Hong Kongโs party scene is pretty strong โ there are several clubs in the district named Lan Kwai Fong. Itโs an experience that youโd surely want to experience at least once, so bring along an extra fit that is super for drinks and partying if thatโs something youโd like to experience!
๐ 4. Opt for shoes / flats
โ Thereโs quite a bit of walking in Hong Kong and unfortunately, I made the mistake of wearing high chunky heels. I tripped quite a few times and it was pretty tiring on my legsโฆ would recommend you to wear shoes & flats instead, bring shoes esp if youโre going for a hike! (I wore my friendโs shoes for our hike and it was SO comfortable)
And thatโs it! I do have quite a few outfits because I went a little crazy on the clothes shopping (bought more than 10 PCs?!!!!) so if you wanna hear which are my must-visit stores in HK, do comment down below! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
