Running is a huge NO NO for me so recently Iโve been on the lookout for workouts that are manageable for me while at the same time, have the ability to make me look good and feel good about myself โบ๏ธ One of which is แดแดสษชแดส สแดษขแด(โ๏ฝกโขฬโฟโขฬ๏ฝก)โ which I signed up for using classpass with my work buddies! ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ
Today Iโm here to share my experience with you but tldr โ ๐ข๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ'๐ซ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐๐ซ, ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ณ

Aerial Yoga is a form of yoga that utilizes hammock / silk to perform movements while suspended in the air. The class first started off very slowly with a lot of breathing and stretching exercises without the use of silk. My first thought was that the class was super chill. Mid-class though, thatโs when youโll start using the silk and the workout starts to get more tedious - ie we had to utilize the hammock to pull ourselves up into the air. I was extremely tired during the entire process though!
Itโs not as easy, especially if youโre
โ not flexible
โ afraid of heights
โ donโt have a lot of strength as you require strength to actually pull yourself up
As I lacked the following, I really found myself struggling halfway through the class. Nonetheless, the instructor Liz James was quite patient and nice - she did try to help us out through the movements as much as possible!
All in all - Iโd rate the following criterias in this manner:
โ Pace of class: OK, occasionally too fast if you have trouble navigating
โ Level of difficulty: 6/10 - not as beginner friendly as Iโd hope it to be. some movements are quite challenging to do due to my lack of strength and flexibility. I surprisingly didnโt experience muscle pains at all the following day and my friend claims that itโs because I didnโt use strength.

โ 6/10 โ minimal facilities, has the bare minimum facilities namely locker & changing room but thatโs about it!

โ Average experience, not sure if Iโd go back though I might try aerial yoga again!
โ In general the instructor was really super nice and it was an interesting activity to try out. However, my lack of strength & flexibility makes it quite hard to keep up which embarrasses me, so Iโm not sure if Iโd go back to workout at the moment
โ My friends on the other hand really liked this experience. however they did also say that the workout is more chill as compared to other aerial yoga studios, although it still requires strength to do.
