My Honest Take on Cenzo!🥩🤤

Cenzo, the Australian-Italian Restaurant & Bar on Club St, has been all over TikTok with rave reviews, so I just had to check it out for my birthday! 🎉 Here's what I indulged in:

Antipasti: Seared scallops & crispy ham ($28) and the pastrami sandwich ($26) – both were really good, with fresh, vibrant flavors. 👌

Fresh pasta: Pappardelle with white ragu ($32) – rich and flavorful, but a tad too salty for my taste. 🍝

Secondi: The 500g grass-fed ribeye ($85) – an absolute must-try! 🥩 This was the best steak I’ve had in a long time—super tender and packed with flavor. 😍

Dolce: Drew’s tiramisu ($16) – unfortunately, a miss. The alcohol was way too strong, completely overpowering the taste of the tiramisu. It left the dinner on a bad note, as it was just too overwhelming. 😕

We also got drinks - Aperol Spritz ($14), which was cheaper than the average price in SG—definitely a pleasant surprise! 🍹

Would I recommend Cenzo?

Yes, Cenzo is great, the food is delicious, and the vibe is immaculate, but the service needs improvement(?). 😬 We had to wait outside for quite a while to get seated because no one was attending to us. Then, throughout the entire dinner, the staff kept pushing us to order more food, even when we were already getting desserts. I get that he was trying to be helpful, but it came off as pushy—borderline snobbish. 😒 It was really annoying, especially toward the end of the meal when we were wrapping up and ready to enjoy dessert (which, sadly, was a letdown). 😞

Overall, Cenzo is a good spot for date nights or when you're feeling flush with cash. 💸 The food is great, but the portions are small, making it more suitable for smaller groups.
