things you NEED to know before gg to namsan tower!

helluuu this kickstarts my lemon8 korea series (apart from the itenary i shared yesterday)!! follow if you’re going to korea soon, and you want more in-depth reviews on places i went in korea~

N Seoul Tower

🚗 how to get there

there are 3 main ways to get there!

1. shuttle bus + cable car

from Myeongdong Station (line 4, exit 1), take the hourly shuttle bus service (operating hours 12:00 - 20:30) with the “namsan cable car" sign to namsan cable car station (free). then, take a cable car (15000W for round trip)

2. shuttle bus directly

take namsan shuttle bus no. 1 from Namsan Yejang Bus Transfer Parking Lot (4 mins walk from Myeongdong Station, exit 1), 1,400 W(card only)​

3. escalator + cable car

go straight toward Hoehyeon Intersection (Shinsege Dept store) from Exit 4 of Myeondong Station. then, turn left at the intersection and find Namsan Ormi Escalator. take the escalator up to the cable car station, then take the cable car.

💸 price

apart from the cable car, hanging around the bottom of seoul tower (where the love locks are) is free!! however, going up the tower to the observatory is $20 SGD (on klook). imo, you’re there to take photos of the tower itself and the love locks, plus the view up there can’t be that much better than the bottom (since it’s already on a mountain 😀😀), so i don’t think it’s worth it to go to the obsevatory.

🔒 love locks

there are SO many love locks it is so pretty. if you want to leave your own love lock, do note the following:

1. it cost 10,000W to buy a love lock there, and another 1,000W for a marker. so def bring your own marker!!

2. if you want to bring your own lock, make sure it is long enough, as most of the railings are quite thick! if not, you can hang it around someone’s love lock 😂😂 (though i do not guarantee it will stay there if they decide to cut their lock…)
