most underrated froyo you NEED TO TRY

as an avid froyo fan, i cannot understand how the westgate yole is usually PACKED while jems smooy remains relatively empty on weekdays. in my honest opinion, smooy > llao llao > yole. so even if my favourite smooy gets more crowded after this 🥲, i’m not gatekeeping here !! here are my thoughts on the best froyo in sg 😚 (not sponsored HAHAH)

🍦 froyo quality

smooy has the BEST yoghurt imo. it’s super creamy and a tad bit sour which makes me salivate 🤤🤤 i would hands down eat the yoghurt plain which really shows how good the yoghurt itself is 😋 the lotus sauce takes it up a notch and tbh all the toppings are really good!! just not the popping boba with lotus sauce… that’s a bit funky

🍽️ variety

there’s a large variety of sauces and biscuits to choose from !! i would say there are less fruits and boba to choose from in smooy compared to llao llao and yole, but that doesn’t really bother me because i am not a healthy queen 🫠

there are also different types of yoghurts (eg chocolate) you can choose that are also REALLY good!! i like natural yoghurt the best though 😋

🧺 space

interior is really pretty and super suited for the tea spilling that usually comes with froyo 🤩 as mentioned, smooy (jems) is usually empty which makes it perfect for catching up with friends or some laptop work, since the tables aren’t very big!!

🏷️ price

since i discovered smooy in 2020, smooy has upped their prices over the years 😭😭😭 they used to be the cheapest but i think they’re level with their competitors now? which kinda sucks BUT they have a 10% student discount which makes them the cheapest now (for students) !! also, smooy is the most generous with yoghurt portion and toppings in my experience so it’s the most worth it 🤷🏻‍♀️

🌟 overall: 10/10 MUST TRY

if the yoghurt quality doesn’t draw you in, just look at the student discount. come on, a $6.80 MAXI froyo that is so large i needa share it with a friend? just give it a try and let me know what you think!
