It’s no secret that JB has become Singaporean’s favourite weekend plans. And cafe hopping is one of the more popular things to do, especially with the food being so affordable and yummy. Here are 5 of the best cafes to visit that are not packed with Singaporeans or diners in general.
If you love your brunch, then you’ll love this cafe. Their portion of the starters are very generous as well, and you MUST have their salted egg popcorn chicken. If you’re one who doesn’t like your coffee too bitter, it’ll be the perfect sip too. My favourite part of this cafe is the poster in the toilet. 🤭
Bonus: there’s a KTV just beside this cafe, and a huge Giant opposite, so it’s definitely super convenient if you have a few things to check off from your itinerary or shopping list.
This cafe is not so much of a secret tbh. But anyhoo, if you appreciate some hipster, industrial vibes, then head over to dine in this cafe. They have pretty interesting drinks menu as well. It can get really crowded so I recommend making a reservation. Otherwise, they have a little art studio upstairs where you can shop for some artsie stuff.
This halal cafe has great coffee and a nice nature kinda setting with ample seating. It’s definitely not as popular as some of the cafes nearer to KSL since it’s also a 15min walk away. However, their service is not the fastest so you may have to spend some time waiting there. We ordered a plate of shakshuka and they took around 30min to serve it.
This place is super vibey and I love how they incorporated nature into their indoor setting. You can choose to sit under the shelter, or under the natural light. They serve all day breakfast, local and western cuisine. And if you’re a fan of Lola Cafe’s wings, you’ll want to try theirs wings too. It’s pretty similar and you’re paying so much lesser!
Trust me when I say that they have the best cakes! We got just one piece and it was so good that we had to dabao a few back home. Their mains were so-so but you definitely have to try their desserts.
