Long (or Short) Layover in London

Mikyla here 👋🏼 This past winter we decided to have a long layover in London during our 3 week trip. If you only have a few days (or even 1), here’s our itinerary for a quick trip. Make sure to download the London Bus Checker app for bus/tube timetables and routes.

Day 1:

- Camden Market for breakfast/lunch at any of the food stands (or just walk through an eat all the free samples)

- British Museum

- Lunch/Dinner in Soho at Le Bab (aka the BEST Kebabs)

- Walk through Piccadilly Circus to China Town and grab dessert

Day 2:

- Buckingham Palace and walk through the gardens

- Big Ben and Westminster Abbey

- London Eye for beautiful views of the city

- Beers at Tattershall Castle (floating pub) on the river

- Dinner on a river cruise (if you’re feeling fancy)

Day 3:

- Take to the tube to Bank station and walk through the mix of old and new architecture

- Grab pastries at Laedenhall Market

- Walk along the river to the Tower of London

- Walk across Tower Bridge and along the other side of the river to Borough Market

- Grab dinner in Borough Market

Be prepared for a lot of walking! Bring your good shoes and maybe even some insoles, which personally saved my life.
