Step Back in Time at this Lovely Oregon Hotel

Have you ever stayed in a hotel that is a National Historic Site?! 👀

This was my first time, and it exceeded expectations 🙌🏽

Hood River, Oregon, is a delightful, energetic, and adventurous summertime destination on the scenic Columbia River Gorge 💙

Without a doubt, downtown is the best place to stay.

It’s walkable to countless dining, shopping, and recreation opportunities.

With the Hood River Hotel as my home away from home, I was able to walk EVERYWHERE. I don’t know about you, but I really appreciate that convenience!!🚶🏻‍♀️

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT

As with any hotel, there’s a few downsides worth considering. 

First, because this is an old building dating back to 1912, it is common to hear creaky noises and your neighbors 🎧

The hotel gives complimentary ear plugs for this reason, and with them I had no problems sleeping.

Also, the parking situation is a little confusing. The easiest thing to do is park at the parking lot for the Mount Hood Railroad and pay the daily fee 🚗

TIPS

Overall, I found this hotel to be totally worth it!! Let me know if you visit 🥰
