😈🍒 How I got my cherry red hair at home @ $20 🧚‍♀️ 🍒😈

I love to mess with my hair every time I’m bored at home and I’m loving my recent results 😝😝

The cherry red hair is a perfect dip into getting darker, non-brown hair. The light colours were not working to well with my naturally textured hair. I wanted to try black again but I just cant commit 😭😭

💗💗 How i did it 💗💗

💗💗 LIGHTENING 💗💗

💗 buy the gatsby bleach for men, to lighten my hair- i used one packet for half a head of hair.

💗 following the packaging instructions, i then added conditioner in a 1-1 ratio to “water down” the bleach and also reduce the damage on my hair.

💗 waited 40 minutes until i saw my hair lighten

💗💗 COLOUR 💗💗

💗 I used La Riche’s Pillarbox Red with Ebony in a 3-1 ratio to add some darker blue undertones - this is the base of the “cherry” shade

💗 I then added conditioner in a 1-1 ratio, to get a more even spread of colour (and save on product hehe)

💗 I saved the remainder of the dye mixture as conditioner- this is to maintain the colour intensity after shampooing. Otherwise, the colour runs uneven/ fades after 2-3 washes.

🥲🥲 things to note 🥲🥲

🔨 this colour is really pretty bc of its intensity. That means the colour runs super easily- I cant wear white tops bc this stains them so badly. The colour runs even when i SWEAT 😭😭
