Apartment Coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

love this place so much!! the ambience and the coffee are both amazing. the latte was creamy and delicious, and they have a range of filters depending on your preference for the taste profile too. if you want something non-caffeinated, they have amazing chocolate options too!

Clap Cafe ⭐⭐⭐

originally came here because the kurasu nearby was too full. but it was surprisingly good because the cafe allows you to study/do your work! the coffee was decent, and it had such a nice setting.

There Was No Coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐

this place might come across as strange to most, but it really surprised me, in a good way! they do fruit lattes, with a range of different kinds of fruits. i’ve tried the grape, mango and watermelon, but they also have durian, avocado, and more. i liked the watermelon the most! the taste of the fruit matches the acidity of the coffee quite well, and i really recommend it!

Coexist Coffee Co. @Hillview ⭐⭐⭐⭐

the location might be a bit ulu, since it’s located in a warehouse. didn’t get to try the food, but the coffee was good! and because of its location, it’s also not too crowded. we could stay and read for a really long time. there are both indoor and outdoor seating.

Playground (by Homeground Coffee) ⭐⭐

homeground coffee is known for their coffee because they’ve won the brewers cup twice. went there with pretty high hopes but was quite disappointed (partly because i didn’t really enjoy the taste profile of the filter i ordered) and also because it felt severely overpriced… i paid more than $10 for this cup of filter because of additional GST and service charge 😭

The Community Coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

have always been a fan of tcc!!! their espresso drinks have not disappointed and this one was just phenomenal. it was so creamy and fruity and literally tasted sweet even without sugar. the filter, however, i didn’t like 😭 but i think it’s just my personal taste because i didn’t really enjoy the strong notes.

Cowpresso Coffee Roasters Singapore ⭐⭐⭐

this location might be a bit ulu as well, but it’s actually quite close to beauty world mrt. the shop space is quite big and they sell a lot of their own beans and coffee machinery as well! probably a good place to do work too, but i’m not sure if they have wifi. the coffee was decent too!

FiftyFive Coffee Bar (temporarily closed)⭐⭐⭐

this one is an unconventional cafe because they have pretty novel drinks! i had a pipagao latte and it was so nice!! you could taste the soft sweetness of the pipagao, and still have it not overpower the fragrance of the coffee. the ambience and lighting in the cafe is also really nice 🥹

Epigram Coffee Bookshop @ SAM (TPD) ⭐⭐⭐

chanced upon this one when i was at SAM. and i was pleasantly surprised! didn’t expect a non-specialty cafe to serve such a good cup of coffee, let alone a filter! wld really recommend this if you are at SAM, but im not sure i would travel all the way down for this because SAM is so far out 🥲
