here are some of my POVs of the many first experience with tattoo, nose piercing, wolf cut & veneers for those who are planning to try them out!

"YY, why....?!?!" I'm sure many of your friends/colleagues or ppl arnd you are curious of why you make sucha decision for the many FIRST experience you have esp when it comes to:

1️⃣ Wolf Cut (RAD Salon)

- Regret / No regrets

💸 I paid: $17 (Cut, Wash & Blow for 55RM)

- Due to work, I can't do much to my hairstyle now (colour, perm etc) and I truly regret not doing those in my poly days 🥲 pls try all these when yall are young bc you might be limited by the dress code at your workplace etc. The only thing I do to my hair is either cutting it shorter / trimming it thinner so I feel more comfortable on hotter months 🤣 1 year ago, I saw alot of gen-z guys w mullet & wolf cut and think it gives off a really cute/cool vibes so I wanted to try it for myself. I was quite skeptical at first bc I saw ppl regretting their haircuts on Pinterest and finally decided to do it when my hair grew quite long and it was a hassle to maintain & I was thinking if it really turned out ugly, at most I just cut short (like i did previously). When I went into the salon w my hair all long and fuzzy, the guy barber just took out a scissors and cut it casually for ~ 30 mins (I rmb myself dozing off abit lolol) I was so happy w the results afterwards 😍!! Wolf cut is pretty ez to maintain bc it is basically layering your hair = thinner = easier to wash and dry HAHA (imma lazy person). I really wanna try mullet but I personally think it will suit someone w bangs better (sadly my hair is centre / side part) 🥲 buttttt who knows... I might try the next time bc yolo right

2️⃣ Nose Piercing (Bead Street)

💸 I paid: $4.50

- I always wanted a nose piercing since poly and thinking back, I kinda regret not getting it pierced earlier bc my current work place doesnt allow nose piercings so this didn't last for too long, ~2 months before i decided to close it due to constant inflammation 😭 (and also bc my dad would kick me out of the hse for "indecent" piercings and what not lol). I got this when I was 24 y/o I would rate the pain 7/10 (gun pierced) but it was still bearable for me & I think it's worth the pain 🤣 I only decided to get it on a super rdm day when my bf and I was waiting for a friend for 1.5hrs before tht. We walked past bead street then I was like "do you wanna get piercings tgth for the LOL!?" Then he agreed to the randomest "activity" ever LOL (I always find adhoc plans > planned). Tbh, i think the pain in piercing are v bearable but the aftercare is the hassle and more painful part (literally). Eventually aft 2 months of having swollen nose, having to clean up pus, and my colleagues telling me to just let it close, I gave up (only bc i think im gonna get it re-pierced agn some day) 🤣 Thankfully, it didn't leave any scar 🤞🏻one of my colleague also recommended for me to get my nose re- pierced using needle bc it wouldnt leave any scar.

3️⃣ Cute / Small Tattoo (Crystaltattoo)

- Regret / No regrets

💸 I paid: $250

- Tbh for the price I paid & the professionalism of the tattoo artist, I think it's definitely worth & I definitely dont regret tattoo-ing my chouchou ❤️(Now we can be tfth my 24/7 & forever hehe) Finished this in ~3hrs.

- Like my other Asian / Singaporean parents, my dad warned me about getting tattoos since I was 7 y/o or younger 🤣 Hence, I decided to get it on my ribs (needs to be somewhr hidden). I got my first tattoo when I was 20 y/o and I was prepared to be kicked out of my hse when I decided to get it thou it's not like a gang tattoo or wtv lmao. I also thought that: Laser would be more exp and would make it more ugly so I dont think my dad can make me laser anyways HAHA. I did some research on the pain scale online and most mentioned tht it would be 7-8/10 🥲 i was excited but nervous also, but it turned out to be a 1-2/10 for me! (Maybe bc im meaty thts why) HAHA.

4️⃣ Veneers (The Fairy Lab)

- Regret / No regrets (for now)

💸 I paid: $785 (Cleaning & Veneers)

- I have been wanting to try veneers bc my teeth are naturally not the straightest & whitest...or anywhr close 🥲 my sist and mum tried it last year and I thought since they alr did it, I dont have to research much, just need reviews on it (which they didn't tell me much about). The whole session (only 1 session required) took about 2hrs for cleaning + veneers. The one I did was composite veneers where it is done 1 teeth by 1 teeth, not the crowning type where you need more appt/session to examine your teeth shape & size one by one, you can imagine it like "manicure" but on the teeth. So the front is pieced according to your teeth shape, then they trim the remaining to fit your teeth shape rather than trimming your teeth (fyi it wont grow back, you can google, it's quite scary tbh) and fitting the whole crown your teeth. I did 8 top & 8 bottom based on what the beautician advised (she will ask you to smile and see how many of your teeth needs the veener, it really depends on individual's smile / teeth size and form), they wont charge more if you need more. You'll also be asked to choose the colour that you want, I chose the one closer to natural over the white one bc I think the other one is too white. The whole process supposed to be quite painless but I have sensitive gums since young so it was slightly painful even during the cleaning portion. Do sound off if it's painful, dont need to tahan!!

- What my sist/mum did not told me was the slight discomfort feeling on the first 3-5 days of the veneers... 🥲 your teeth will feel quite sensitive when you chew on your food or when the food touches your front teeth 😭 you need to chew w your back teeth and avoid eating: food with colouring, nuts, cold stuff, eating hardshell food (eg, crab) or food w tough texture (eg, duck) and anything tht requires you to bite off directly from a hugr piece (eg, sweetcorn). For aftercare, floss & brush daily. Avoid drinking soft / fizzy drinks & coffee 😔 (imma coffee love but nope you dont have to give it up completely), if you want to drink them, make sure you drink them w a STRAW & rinse/brush your teeth straight aft. With proper aftercare, the veneers should last you 3-5 years or for some, > 5 years! (Maintain good oral hygiene & your money worth friends!!)

All in all, diff ppl have diff POV on certain things and you dont have to ALWAYS listen to them (#aquariustings bc we are just this stubborn 😛) you just gotta do you & make sure you do some research to avoid having to go through traumatising experiences / regrets for wanting to do smth for yourself ◡̈!
