Fractional C02 Laser for acne scars

Hi peeps,

I wanted to share about my fractional CO2 Laser experience in SG thus far!! And this is how it goes...

I have already been to 8 sessions of CO2 fractional laser and i want to say I have no regret doing it...

👍Why I do it:

1. I have deep acne scars and my acne scars has always affect my self esteem

2. This treatment is the most effective method at treating acne scars permanently altho you have to be aware it does not gurantee 100% acne scars removal

During treatment:

1. Numbing cream will be applied for 20-30mins

2. Depending on how severe your scarring is, doctor/ aesthetician will adjust the setting of the laser accordingly (pain level increase as the setting goes higher)

3. During treatment, you will experience pricking/sunburnt sensation

4. Painful to a certain extent (depending on your pain tolerance)

After treatment:

1. Skin feels warm and red

Post treatment:

1. 5-7 days of downtime for skin to heal depending on your skin recovery speed

2. Skin feels dry, and skin starts to peel during the healing period (for me, after my 3rd days of treament)

3. Avoid sunlight and intensive sweating and exercises for at least 2 weeks after treatment as skin is most sensitive at this period

4. Prone to hyperpigmentation. Sun protection is the key!!

5. Avoid makeup after treatment

6. Apply hydrating masks everyday for 5 consecutive days as your skin will be very very dry after treatment

After full recovery:

❤️Skin peel off completely, and you will see obvious radiance on your skin
