How To propagate plants

One of my favorite things to do it’s to propagate my plants, because basically you can have more plants with out spending any money. I will recommend you to propagate your plants during spring and summer because that's their growing season. That way you have enough time to put them in soil before winter comes. You can still propagate your plants during winter but it will just take longer for the roots to form and sometime some cuttings wont give you roots.

Here’s how I propagate my monstera, pothos, philodendron, and many other plants.

Step 1. You need to look for the nodes, usually they are between each leaf, I have marked it down in the pictures to know what they look like. The Nodes it’s where the new roots will grow from.

Step 2. Cut in between the nodes.

Step 3. Put the cuttings in a small jar with water, you should start seeing roots coming out in a week or so. I usually wait up to 3 weeks until the cuttings have a lot of roots to start potting them in soil.
