DIY ✨ We refurbished a FREE coffee station?

Hey folks! Today we’re gonna share with you how we found, refurbished and refreshed a coffee station we found on Carousell 😉. Some background, we were on the hunt for a small table as we omitted our dry pantry from our ID’s quotation as it was out of our budget. We had no space to put our microwave and coffee machine 😅

🔎 Finding our FREE table

And so, the hunt was on! We measured and found that the FÖRHÖJA trolley from IKEA (See pic 4) was the perfect size and on we managed to find it on Carousell for FREE! We picked it up from Golden Mile Complex, it couldn’t fit into a BlueSg, so poor ZQ had to lalamove it back lol.

🎨 Sanding and painting

After that we machine sanded and repainted it with the leftover wall paint we had from our renovation. Not the most ideal since it might not stick well to wood, but it was smooth enough and left a matte finish! Would highly recommend using Gush paint (will do a separate post on our experience)

🍄Adding small touches

Just when we thought we were done. I got itchy hand syndrome lol and started painting flowers and mushrooms (See pic 2 & 3) Since the drawers were 2-sided I could leave the other end empty or till I got bored of it 😅

And we were done (for now)! Today, this table serves as our coffee and microwave station. We love that it’s narrow and does not take up too much space. And we love it even more because of the effort put into it. So if you’re still considering your DIY projects, NOW’S THE TIME!
