Restaurant Standard food for Coffee Shop Price! 🤤

Visited Mad Charcoal @ ang mo kio recently and I was very impressed by the quality of food in a coffee shop!! Here’s what I tried:

1. Beef Brisket Platter: ($36)

- comes with beef brisket which melts in your mouth, pork belly with some sort of honey sauce, and chicken chop which was really tender with a light creamy sauce.

- this set comes with 2 side dishes and the person at the cashier recommended the ratatouille and mashed potatoes, which were both good! Mashed potatoes were very flavourful, and the ratatouille had the right amount of tomato to it!

100%%%% recommend you to get this!!!!!

2. Creamy pasta with bacon: ($10.50)

- very basic but loved it! the cream sauce was flavourful, not the italian style but it was too out liking. we added bacon to it too and it was a good addition to the pasta.

3. Mushroom soup: ($6.6)

- it came with truffle oil, an onsen egg, and a toasted bread. it’s not salty which is good because the meats were super flavourful already, and the mushroom soup was a good balance. came with a toasted bread which i wished had some garlic spread on it though! but overall a good soup 😋

overall really enjoyed the food and the not so steep price tag for their food! restaurants would probably charge twice the price for the same quality of food. at about 7-730 there was a bit of a long queue, so you should go slightly earlier at about 6+ to avoid the queue.
