the restaurant everyone tells u to go to in HK…

kam’s roast goose! the restaurant every source tells u u need to try on your hongkong trip…. its also been awarded 1 michelin star for the past 8 years….. but what’s the hype about??

⭐️ the dining experience ——

first of all the queue.. i went on a weekday night at about 8pm and the wait time was more than an hour 💀💀 once we got in, the space inside was super cramped and the seating was uncomfortable, service was also super rushed like they just want u to faster finish ur food and leave…. pretty expected with the insane queues outside.

⭐️ the food ——

all would have been forgiven if the food was good but then tell me why the roast goose is so dry, the noodles so severely undercooked and the vegetables so bland??? 😭😭 i have had MUCH better roast duck and wanton mee here in sg at a regular coffee shop fr 💀

⭐️ the price ——

not cheap… we ordered a small portion of goose and some noodles on the side with a honey lemon drink and the total came up to HKD256, which is about SGD45 in total which is definitely not cheap..

tbh its like sg i guess, many michelin star eateries here are pretty underwhelming too so idk what i expected in hk 😭😭 honestly if not for the hype and the insane wait time i would’ve been more ok with the food quality.. but this was rly not it. i was so sad because i was really looking forward to trying this in hk 😔 i recommend just going to a regular roast goose place u can find with a decent rating on google if u want to try it in hongkong.. don’t bother with this tourist trap!
