5 MIN cheese-crusted ham & cheese toastie 🥪

Sandwiches are the easiest for me to whip up but I think I can proudly say that i’ve perfected my version of the perfect sandwich. This cheese-crusted inverted ham & cheese sandwich gives you a crispy outside with the meltiest inside. That being said, you can always tweak it to make it better by using different bread kinds or ham :)

Ingredients:

🧈 1 tablespoons of butter - I spiced it up with some Kombu butter today

🍞 2 slices of bread

2 slices of ham - I used honey glazed from Cold Storage

🧀 1/4 cup grated Matured cheddar cheese

A few shreds of Gruyère cheese

TIP💡: This cheese is very strong but VERY melty

2 teaspoons of Dijon Mustard

TIP💡: Mine’s with honey so it gives a sweet touch as well

Steps:

1. Butter bread generously on both sides

2. Press parmigiano-reggiano cheese onto one side of the bread

3. Flip bread - Assemble Gruyère cheese & ham

4. Spread dijon mustard on the other bread

5. Grill on both sides till cheese is melted inside & outside is golden brown
