Found this idea on Pinterest and TikTok so I wanted to try it and I love how it turned out! Nice, sturdy, and looks way more expensive than it was ☺️
Approximate size: 28” x 39” x 16” tall
Materials are shown and written in detail in the pic but here’s a quick rundown:
+ (3) 2”x10”x8’ wood lumber
+ wood stain + polycrylic top coat
+ wood glue + 8 corner braces
+ 2 long and 2 short braces
+ quality brushes
Step 1: Measure and cut the wood. You could use a miter saw or have the workers at Home Depot do it.
+ (3) 39” and (8) 16”
Step 2: Glue together the 39” pieces on the long side with the wood glue. Glue together the 16” pieces in sets of 2 on the flat side. Let dry a day.
Step 3: Screw in the corner braces and brackets as shown in photos.
Step 4: Sand the table with a sander or sanding paper. I used 120 grit. Then cleaned off the dust with a tack cloth.
Step 5: Finally stain your table with the color of choice. I did 2 coats of Special Walnut and took it off few seconds after (I didn’t want it too dark). I tried to take some yellow off by adding a coat of Classic Grey. I waited about a day between coats. Then sealed with Polycrylic water based satin top coat!
