The Best Hair Serum? $6 vs. $50

Let’s talk hair serums- is it worth spending $50 for one or will a $6 serum get you the same result? 🫣

I have thick hair for reference.

🖤Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment ($48 for 100ml)

- Thinner consistency, feels like a serum

- Amazing musky scent, but doesn’t have lasting power

🖤Davines Oi Oil ($50 for 135ml)

- Thinner consistency, feels more like an oil

- Very unique ‘salon’ scent, a bit woody, very good lasting power

🖤Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Serum ($6 for 81ml)

- Thick consistency, feels like a thick serum

- Coconut scent with not much lasting power

The Trader Joe’s serum is an amazing product for the price, although I wouldn’t recommend it for thin hair. If you want to spend more, I would go with the Davines Oi Oil, the scent is heavenly and a little goes a long way!
