MDD and BPD can be mood killers! These things that I do every day or every week really help me stay balanced and in tune with my emotions and stay as happy as I can be!

1- eating good food! This can range from a yogurt bowl or a big ole cheeseburger, whatever I’m feeling! I try not to restrict myself heavily with eating since that is something I have struggled with in the past. I maintain a good diet while not feeling bad about letting in some “unhealthy” foods, food is fuel!

2- visiting art museums is something I recently picked up in the last few months and I am in LOVE! Looking at art for hours really helps me detach myself from the rest of the world and just be captivated with the beautiful and abstract art.

3- going to cafes! You don’t necessarily need to order anything! Sometimes just sitting in a cafe doing some work, watching a show, reading a book, etc. can really be helpful to your mental health, at least in my experience 🤗

4- watching the sun set is something I look forward to constantly in my daily life! I live in a more desert area so my view of the sunsets is AMAZING! Any opportunity I get to watch the sun set is a win in my book!

Having mental disorders is a really challenging part of my and many other people’s lives, but some things I incorporate into my daily life make it that much more worth it:)!!
