Transform your HDB door entrance ✨🚪

We changed out our HDB main door entrance and “decorated it” to match the theme of our Japandi Home. I’m happy that we did it because every time we enter the main door, it feels like we are being transported to another place. Especially after a long day of work, it makes me feel really warm and comforted. Here are what we did / a few ideas for you:

We changed the main door & removed the metal gate. You can see the second image for a reference on how a typical HDB door looks like. The colours were more on the darker end which stood out quite a bit compared to the rest of the colours in our home which is more neutral and in the lighter shades. This is a big piece of item and thus changing it / changing its colour really made a good impact to the overall feel.

We removed the metal gate because we hardly open our main door and the gate wasn’t that necessary.

Digital lock is a must-to-have for lazy people like us!!! It’s so convenient and I believe I don’t have to explain much on this!

We also changed out the unit number plate to wooden materials which matches with our overall theme as well. I chose a wood on wood material and felt that it is really cool/unique. I rarely see others choose this kind of material 😉. Usually it’s acrylic on wood ~

One of the high maintenance plants that we placed in our living room has withered. It turned from a lively green colour to a rusted brown shade. Which I actually really loved the new colour?!? So we moved the plant outside and it surprisingly really matched the other items we had! If you too have plants that died, you know what you can do now 🤭

No regrets to invest in the above-mentioned changes and felt really happy looking at it everyday! Hope it gives you some inspirations if you are interested to do the same 🤎.
