Tracking my monthly expenses with Excel sheets ✍🏼💰

Hello! I’ve had a few questions from my previous finance post about how i do my #expensetracking , so i decided to do a post on this to share with those who might find this useful ~

I find this method to have helped me be more aware 👀 of what i am spending too much on, which in turn helps me to cut down 🚫 & #savemoney !

❗️Please note that my excel is only an example ☺️

To start off, I searched for this expenses tracking template from Microsoft & customised it 👨🏻‍🎨 You can find templates Here!

I then decided on the flow ➡️ of my spreadsheet, I wanted to really track every expense 💲 I had while creating a budget to work within.

So 1️⃣st, I created my budget allocation table according to the 4-1-2-1-2 budgeting rule 💰 (You can read more about 4-1-2-1-2 Here!! )

Step 2️⃣ i decided that i wanted to track every single expenses i had every week, so i created 4 tables at the bottom of the sheet for that

3️⃣rd, as i wanted it to be more neat, i listed each type of expense under each category & put them into tables

4️⃣th & Final step: fill in each expenses & filled in the formulas for calculation & tabulation!

Overall it is a little difficult for me to explain in words, so i hope the pictures of the excel can help 🫣
