3 random (but amazing) street food to try in Hanoi

1️⃣ Sausage

These are quite common on the streets of Hanoi within the Old Quarters. They are so juicy and just a snack that can’t go wrong.

2️⃣ Banana cake

These can also be found quite easily along the streets, and they usually sell it with fried sweet potatoes. Although it’s called banana cake, we would probably recognise it as fried banana fritters or goreng pisang. There’s just something about the banana they used or maybe it’s the batter that makes it really good!

3️⃣ Savoury rice flour pudding

This is a special one! The texture of the rice flour pudding is gluey and sticky, like mochi but much softer, and it is served hot with minced pork and mushroom broth. The broth is definitely the highlight of the dish for me, it is so flavourful and rich! I enjoyed this more than I expected!! The street stall we had this is Bánh đúc nộm!
