The Michelin star winner @myeongdong_kyoja has been around for more than 40 years and a must-go for every first-timer to Seoul. ๐๐ฅ
The 3-storey shop-space was completely filled despite it's already past dinner time at 9pm+. Thankfully we got a table soon after and the food was served almost instantly upon placing order.

The Kalguksu boast a light-tasting chicken broth with soft noodles, minced meat, onions and the iconic pyramid-shaped mandu that's similar to Chinese wantons. The portion is quite huge so it's good for sharing if you're not hungry.

Comes in 10 pieces. The steamed mandu features a paper-thin skin that's wrapped around the generous fillings made from pork, vegetables, leek, and fresh sesame oil. Very flavourful and juicy, best paired with their kimchi. The kimchi is probably the nicest we have had in Korea but the spiciness is also on another level.
๐ฌ TLDR: I can see why some people may question the validity of their Michelin title but I personally enjoyed both the kalguksu and mandu. Nothing mindblowing but yummy and comforting.
