What to eat at Chomp Chomp Food Centre? 😋🤔 [1/2]

Finally checking out the popular Chomp Chomp Food Centre located at Serangoon Gardens. Location wise, it's not easily accessible by train but there are quite a few buses that will get you there.

Although the place is smaller than expected, you can still expect to find the usual must-eats such as stingray and bbq wings. Here are some of the popular stalls:

My face literally fell when I saw the 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐬 ($𝟎.𝟕 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤) because it looked so pale and unappetising. As expected, the satays lacked marinade and were under-grilled. While it's really tender, it's also tasteless and the peanut sauce was too sweet for my liking. Definitely a miss!

Wanted to try Chong Pang Huat but it was closed so we settled for this store among the others. The 𝐁𝐁𝐐 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 ($𝟏.𝟓 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠) was bbq-ed to perfection with smokey aroma and crispiness. And the meat was tender as well. It's delicious on it's own but incomplete without the chilli sauce for the extra oomph but damnnnn its super spicy so dip at your own risk HAHAHA.

💬 TLDR: Small food centre but there are still a few stores worth checking it. The space is pretty well ventilated and sufficient fans are installed to keep you cool. And we particularly appreciated that we do not need to wait in queue as they either serve to your table or provide a buzzer for collection.
