BUBBLE TEA RAMEN?!

as a bubble tea fanatic fan, this was on my to-go list the moment i saw the IG post posted by @8degrees 八度空間. and who can resist taiwanese food?!🤭🤤

i bought a few items to try: pork belly rice ($6), amazing. oyster meesua ($6), oysters were pretty decently sized! salty chicken ($7), so good omg. udon with XO sauce ($8.80), mild spice but very salty. small bubble milk tea ($3.90), decent would purchase again. hot lemon ginger brown sugar ($4.10), not my cup of tea but okay decent (parents liked it).

and lastly, the food that i came specifically for... bubble tea ramen!! ($10.90) i did not see any reviews about it being hot or cold, i went in with an open mind. it was hot btw. it tasted.. okay..? i expected it to be sweet, but no. the broth was a mix of the sweetness of the milk tea, and the saltiness of the noodle broth. the pearls were decent tho. i couldn't finish as it became jelak, so i recommend to get this as a sharing item among yourselves. the best thing was that it came as a set with freshly fried cutlet.

pros:

- special requests can be made when ordering online (eg. no coriander/chilli/onion)

- there's a toilet

- can sing karaoke while waiting for/eating food (because they have jay chou songs playing🤣)

- have a total of 3 outlets - Kovan, Jln Besar, Sembawang (operation hours written below)

cons:

- few sitting areas. go early or during non peak hours would be good

- slight inconvenient location (for someone without a car)

yes, the food's pretty good, but it is slightly inconvenient imo. will only go down if im around the area or if im craving for the food there! but it is worth a try!! (ngl may go again to try their scallion oil chicken rice, cold noodle, egg roll, scallion pancake, cheese mantou, honey butter toast, milk tea with yam ball dessert, coffee crystal milk tea.. OK STOP im writing this in the middle of the night (currently 1.47am) im getting hungry fml.

price:

the price is okay for the food portion (rice portion slightly smaller than normal).

things to note:

- price is exclusive of gst and service charge

- Sembawang outlet only operates at 11am-2.30pm and 5pm-9pm. (the other 2 outlets open fully from 11am-9pm)
