bangkok | WHAT TO BUY @ CHATUCHAK 😆

Chatuchak can be superrr overwhelming, there are lots of tourist trap shops - so here’s my shortlist of good, unique stuff WORTH looking out for when you’re there!!!

⭐️ Clothes

- many of the clothes shops are quite repetitive & overpriced, so i only shop at a few

- MAIN STREET: more modern, korean style fashion: trendy pieces are quite affordable, but i wouldn’t get basics from here

- the main thing i go to chatuchak for is the locally made dresses! the fabrics are all super light & breathable, great for sg!! and though many fabric patterns are similar across stores, each little store has their own unique cuts & dress designs - the cute aunties sew them all in house :) super lovely!!!

⭐️ Vintage stores

- chatuchak can be a great place to shop vintage! highlights for me would be vintage outerwear, & jewelry/charms

- i found lots of cute distressed band tees too (SECTION 18 SOI 26/7)

⭐️ Jewelry

- this is a bit of a hit or miss, but i really like some traditional handicraft stores

- i’d recommend buying crystals (crystal bracelets, necklaces etc) here because they’re quite affordable! just watch out for some dyed stones that arent authentic (you can tell if the colour is too vibrant)

- the shell based stores are soooo cute!! definitely worth the trip :)

⭐️ Homeware

- i always buy woven placemats and baskets from chatuchak for home!

- i also decorate my room with ball lights from chatuchak (SECTION 14, SOI 21/7)

⭐️ Pet Care

- chatuchak is a great place to get affordable pet treats & pet care too!

- make sure to check the ingredients and place of manufacture on treats 👍

there’s really so much at chatuchak, but these are the main things i feel are reliable worth buying when shopping there!
