MUST VISIT: Kyoto Cafe Guide! (Part 1)

Kyoto is a city known for its scenery, culture, and more recently - its abundance of cafes! Here are some of my favourite cafes in the area 😋

1. Kumonocha

📍Kyomizu, Sannenzaka

☀️I’d definitely recommend trying their signature matcha and azuki mousse cake + matcha latte set (JPY1180). Their seasonal item, the chocolate pumpkin mousse cake, was also really yummy! The quality of the matcha served here was really very impressive - this cafe’s got much more than just a pretty face! 😋😋😋

2. Mipig Cafe

📍Nishiki Market

💸1760 yen+ (S$18)

☀️With three floors in the cafe, I was really surprised that there were SO many pigs to so few tables! The staff also provided blankets to protect our clothes, and brought the pigs to those who didn’t have any near them. The entrance fee came with drinks, but the drinks ended up being from an instant vending machine, so I wouldn’t count on dining there. Nonetheless, the pigs were super cute - 100% worth seeing! 😍

3. Japanese Ice Ouca

📍346 Tominagacho, Shimogyo Ward

💸450 yen++

🔥☀️ This was a beautiful minimalist shop. Their ice cream flavours are all homemade, seasonal, and uniquely Japanese. Each cup allows you to pick 3-4 flavours, depending on the size! My favourite was the seasonal roasted sweet potato with Vanilla ice cream! Everything also came with tea, and sour plum on the side. If you’re an ice cream lover, I’d definitely recommend checking them out!
