When I need to decompress, I have found that walking outside has made me feel 10x better. It’s sometimes hard for the brain to shut off and finding things like walking can help ease the reoccurring thoughts. I find that setting an intention before my walk has helped me walk longer distances because I’m focused. Every time I start feeling like stopping, I gracefully return to my intention. When I am having trouble naturally shutting down my thoughts, music has been a tool for me to deeply tune into the now.
