Come Batik Painting with Me at Pasar Seni!

Hi everyone! Come with Myra Amran as I’ll be talking about my recent experience painting batik at Pasar Seni, KL!

I’ve been seeing couples do this activity all over Tik Tok so I decided to go with a friend to check it out #FOMO . The batik place I went to is called Ainna Artwork located on the ground floor at Pasar Seni. I went to Pasar Seni on a weekday so the place was quiet and chill enough for you to slowly walk around and check all the vendors.

Now, onto the batik painting. Before starting, you can choose the different sizes of canvas you want to paint and they’ll show you your seat, your water color option and how to mix the colors. I opt for the medium size (RM25) because your girl doesn't have the patience to paint the bigger canvas. It took me 20 minutes to finish painting and once done, the staff will dry it for you and pack it in a transparent bag.

I find batik painting to be therapeutic but it can get stressful when you’re running out of color combination ideas to mix. But, it’s all fun towards the end. If you’re looking to slow down in the midst of a chaotic schedule, do give batik painting a consideration. It could be good for your mind!
