Are Crystals Worth It?

Crystals are used by many witches. They are sold at multiple metaphysical shops as jewelry, spells , altar pieces, and more. But like many industries in capitalism, the crystal industry is exploitive and harmful to the environment. From the mistreatment of workers to illegal mining practices, there are many reasons we need to be more careful about buying crystals.

While this might upset many witches, I personally do not see buying crystals at the cost of whole communities having contaminated drinking water and the mistreatment and exploitation of people to be worth it.

I am, however, a big fan of finding your own rocks and crystals out in nature during hikes and walks on the beach.
