Rating on places I went in Bangkok ‘22

📍Chinatown 💛

Come here if you’re a foodie or if you have spare time because there is nothing much other than food.

Pros: A lot of food/snacks by the roadside

Cons: You won’t find anything to shop there because it’s basically streets that only sell food

📍Chatuchak Weekend market 💛💛💛

Very hot and crowded but it is a good shopping place and there were a few places that you can stop by to go for a massage to relax yourself. Things there are quite cheap and some of the clothes are quite unique as well.

Pros: A lot of hidden gems, they sell both men and women clothings, very big so it’ll take you half a day to finish shopping

Cons: it is not totally sheltered so do bring your own umbrella if you don’t wna get drenched

📍Jodd Fairs 💛💛

The newest night market in Bangkok right now that is super happening!!!

Pros: food is pretty solid here, they sell trending stuff as well like clothes/shoes/accessories. (but not alot) Ambience is good as there are live bands there 🤩

Cons: Too crowded, have to queue for an hour or so for some food and could not find any place to settle down. It is also not fully sheltered so do bring an umbrella with you incase it rains!

📍Platinum mall 💛

Sells a variety of clothings and accessories. I strongly encourage you guys to come here on the last day instead because you’ll find nicer and trendier stuff elsewhere with cheaper price points

Pros: it is a mall so plus point because of the aircon,

can find anything there in terms of fashion (like hats to tops to shoes)

Cons: It has gotten quite expensive. even if you purchase 2 or more items from the same store, you might not be able to get discounts. Most of the things are $15-$20 and above there which is on the pricier side.

📍Iconsiam 💛

A mall with floating night market at the basement and luxury items on top.

Pros: it is a rather new place hence its a new experience. it is air-condition, a lot of variety of food at the floating market.

Cons: Other than the floating market there is nothing much to shop there

📍Union mall 💛💛💛

I love this mall the most because it has all the trending and unique fashion pieces. it is basically like Platinum mall but the clothes here are much nicer and quality is better as well.

Pros: air-condition, sells a variety of clothes from men-women wear, has a few restaurants as well. There is also a mini bazaar outside the mall but they only open after 5pm so do take note!

Cons: some clothes are more expensive up to $30

there are 6 levels but only 3 levels are selling clothes.

📍Indy night market 💛💛

A night market that is different from Jodd fairs. you will see a lot of locals here.

Pros: a whole lot of food and clothes

Cons: hard to get there if you stay near pratunam because it’s quite a distance. Not fully sheltered so rmb to bring umbrella!

📍Siam square and Siam Paragon 💛💛💛

They are side by side. The bazaar outside siam square is a must go! especially the streets infront of the bazaar!! there are many different shops opposite like matchbox/daddy muscles academy etc

Pros: So many things to shop 😍😍😍 you will actually spend the whole day there, a lot of restaurants as well!! they have eve and boy at siam square too!! and gentlewoman as well

Cons: apart from the malls that are air-condition, do bring an umbrella as well to get the the shops across incase it rains

📍Pratunam market 💛💛💛 (i did not add pictures because i forget ☹️☹️)

They are a morning market. I only see locals there, its a place where they get most of their stocks from so the things there are really cheap.

Pros: there are so many clothes there you can shop there the entire day. They also have this mall at the back where you can get fabrics from. The clothes are really super cheap it ranges from $7 onwards but if you get 3 pieces or more there’ll be more discounts.

Cons: very very hot, not fully sheltered so do bring an umbrella along.
